Hierarchy and Governance
The organizational framework of the Knights of St. John International in Sierra Leone is anchored by the Supreme Subordinate Board, which functions as the highest national decision-making authority and is presided over by the Supreme Subordinate President.
This Board is supported by two Grand Commanderies:
Each Grand Commandery governs a network of local commanderies, established within parishes across the country. Currently, the Freetown–Makeni Grand Commandery oversees 16 commanderies, while the Bo–Kenema Grand Commandery manages 11 commanderies.
